Sane & Able are delighted to announce that they are winners of the 2015 Music Design Awards for the second year running. The website of Fidelio Arts, one of the most esteemed management agencies in classical music, was recognised for its outstanding design in the “Classical” music industry category.
The brief to our classical division ‘Classical Music Design‘ was to create a unique, responsive website for Fidelio Arts to coincide with the addition of a new artist to their roster (Pianist Yuja Wang). The site had to match the company’s ethos of treating each client equally. With four well-known classical artists on their books, the site for the company needed to take a slight back seat but still be interesting and different enough to stand its own ground.
This creates its own challenges when having to present clients in navigation and on pages. We managed this by creating the paint blotches that randomly move and interact with each other on the homepage. As an added bonus, the user is able to move these around to replicate the fun and modern approach that the company has.
Each of Fidelio Arts’ clients has their own sites with lots of promotional materials, including assets associated to them through record labels, venues, PR companies and more. Therefore, the function of the Fidelio Arts site was to showcase the clients and then direct users to the desired resources, instead of replicating content.
A modern and simple site, it shows a fun side to the clients and the company, whilst retaining a clean and professional feel. The site is responsive for the increasing mobile audience and has a WordPress CMS to allow easy management by the client. It also uses javascript, including parallax, fade and scroll specific movement, to achieve an animation on the homepage and navigation that randomises the position and order of clients.
